These Subaru statistics highlight the latest available figures on Subaru’s revenue, operating profit, global unit sales, U.S. sales, production footprint, safety awards, durability claims, and electric vehicle expansion heading into 2026.
Subaru’s revenue expanded sharply between fiscal 2023 and fiscal 2024, then stayed near that elevated level in fiscal 2025. That points to a business that remains large in scale even as profit pressure increased.
Operating profit rose sharply in fiscal 2024 and then eased in fiscal 2025. Even after that decline, Subaru remained well above its fiscal 2023 operating profit level.
Subaru’s global consolidated unit sales climbed from 852,000 in fiscal 2023 to 976,000 in fiscal 2024, then slipped to 936,000 in fiscal 2025. That still leaves fiscal 2025 above fiscal 2023.
Subaru’s U.S. volume rose strongly from 2022 through 2024 before easing slightly in 2025. Even after the 2025 pullback, Subaru still sold far more vehicles in the U.S. than it did in 2022.
Crosstrek led the Subaru lineup in U.S. sales during 2025. Forester and Outback remained close behind, showing how concentrated Subaru’s American volume remains around its core crossover and wagon-style nameplates.

Subaru production footprint in calendar year 2025
Subaru’s 2025 production mix remained weighted toward Japan, though overseas manufacturing still represented a substantial share of total output. That split shows why production location matters so much for Subaru’s cost structure and regional supply strategy.

Subaru brand, safety, durability, and EV benchmarks
Subaru’s official Consumer Reports page says the brand was named 2025 Best Overall Automotive Brand and 2025 Most Reliable Brand.
Subaru says seven vehicles in its lineup were Consumer Reports recommended in 2025: Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Ascent, Impreza, BRZ, and WRX.
IIHS listed Subaru award winners for 2025 including the 2026 Forester as TOP SAFETY PICK+, the 2025 Solterra as TOP SAFETY PICK+, and the 2025 Ascent and 2025 Forester as TOP SAFETY PICK.
Subaru said it received two TOP SAFETY PICK+ and two TOP SAFETY PICK awards overall in 2025, and 75 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards since 2013 as of December 2025.
Subaru says 96% of its vehicles sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today, more than Honda or Toyota brands.
Subaru of Indiana Automotive says it employs more than 6,500 associates and builds the Ascent, Crosstrek, and Forester in North America.
The 2026 Solterra offers up to 288 miles of range and about 28-minute charging from 10% to 80%.
The 2026 Trailseeker offers 375 horsepower and up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity.
The 2026 Uncharted offers up to 338 horsepower and more than 300 miles of range.
The big picture is that Subaru remains a midsize global automaker with an outsized position in the U.S. market. Revenue stayed near record levels in fiscal 2025, U.S. sales remained above 640,000 units in calendar 2025, and Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback continued to anchor the brand’s volume.
At the same time, the numbers show a brand in transition. Profitability cooled from the fiscal 2024 peak, production stayed heavily tied to Japan, and early 2026 U.S. sales were softer year over year. But Subaru is also broadening its electric lineup with the refreshed Solterra, the new Trailseeker, and the new Uncharted while still leaning hard into safety, reliability, and long-life ownership positioning.
