What these GMC statistics show

GMC has turned into one of GM’s strongest volume brands in the U.S., with sales climbing each year from 2021 through 2025. The brand’s annual volume grew from 482,437 to 652,394 over that span, and its share of GM’s U.S. sales stayed close to the 22% to 23% range.

Sierra remains the backbone of the brand. In 2025, Sierra alone represented 54.60% of GMC’s U.S. sales, far ahead of Yukon, Terrain, and Acadia. That means GMC’s overall results still depend heavily on truck demand, even as SUV volume remains important.

GMC’s EV business is also moving higher, but from a smaller base. HUMMER EV continued to add volume in 2025, while Sierra EV posted much faster percentage growth. Even so, combined GMC EV deliveries were still only 3.65% of total GMC U.S. sales in 2025, which shows that the brand’s transition remains early compared with its core truck and SUV business.
